Professional Obedience Instructor/Trainer for dogs and their owners.

Graduated Wentworth Institute and Roger Williams College: Retired from the corporate world in 1997. Began training shelter dogs at the Potter League in Middletown, RI. Transitioned to training individual handlers and eventually group sessions. Created Pet Connection, LLC in 1999.

We have adopted a wide variety of breeds over the years: Rottweilers, English Cocker Spaniel, Black&Tan Hound mix, and Labrador retriever and Wheaton Terrier hybrids. Our multi-dog household has had as many as six dogs at at time; currently we are enjoying the company of two: Our Therapy Dog Auggie (Black Lab) and our challenge, Riley a lovable, high energy Wheaton Terrier/Poodle mix. Through the years our dogs have offered a variety of challenges and taught me well, along the way.

I have extensive hands-on life experience and continued my education through formal training and development with the top names in animal training and behavior: Graduated from Instructors Training at Upper Valley Humane Society, Lebanon, NH. Continuously attend seminars and workshops covering broad range of subjects by world renowned, well respected veterinarians, scientists, behaviorists, trainers and authors i.e., Dr. Ian Dunbar, Dr. Nicholas Dodman, Dr. Patricia McConnell, Ted Turner, Ray Coppinger, Jean Donaldson, Pat Miller and many others.

Conducted hundreds of hours of individual and group training sessions applying “Positive Reinforcement" methods: No choke chains, pinch collars or electronic shock devices. Our training can be conducted in the comfort and privacy of your own home or some other place of your choosing i.e. the park, beach, city streets - We are currently serving Newport, Bristol & South counties in Rhode Island.

Certified evaluators for AKC-CGC and Therapy Dogs International. Independent distributors of Flint River Ranch All-Natural Pet Foods in addition to offering a variety of all-natural treats.
